Have you ever been to the Pearl of the Orient Seas? The Republic of The Philippines is home to over 7,600 islands divided into three main geographical divisions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Famous for its dazzling, natural beauty and rich biodiversity, it is no surprise that the Philippines continues to attract the eyes of tourists. However, the natural beauty of the Philippines is often threatened by natural disasters including floods, typhoons, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions.
In November 2012, Emmanuel Foundation teamed up with Abba Child Ministries (ACM) and Canada for Negros (CFN) to ship a container- to the region of Visayas specifically in the Island of Negros- filled with medical equipment for care facilities as well as clothes, household goods and other items needed to rebuild people’s lives after a disaster. The destructive presence of typhoons and earthquakes in the island leaves small hospitals and medical clinics desperate for medical equipment. With the help of ACM and CFN along with countless volunteers and donors, various medical facilities on the island have been stocked up with medical equipment, food and clothing ready for distribution.
Abba Child Ministries –located in Tunga-Tunga, Dauin, Negros Oriental, Philippines- and Canada for Negros are both non-profit-organizations, focused on helping struggling individuals, families and other groups living in the Island of Negros. We are honored and blessed to have been part of this successful collaboration. We thank you for your unconditional support!
